I went to Changgyeonggung Palace on October 22, 2023.
Changgyeonggung Palace is one of Seoul’s tourist attractions and its natural beauty and the first Western-style greenhouse among Joseon palaces.
–
Changgyeonggung Palace embraces Chundangji, Daeonsil places, perhaps even more famous than Changgyeonggung Palace.
Chundangji is decorated with a beautiful pond and garden inside the palace.
Daeonsil is a Western botanical garden established in 1909 where a variety of tropical flowers are on display.
so, I went to see the famous attractions together.

Changgyeonggung Palace Location
The Changgyeonggung Palace Wall Street in spring and fall is my personal favorite.
I mainly go there in the spring and fall of the year.
I think this attractive place welcomes me in different ways depending on the four seasons.
After visiting the palace, it is easy to travel between nearby Daehakro (Hyehwa), Jongno 4-ga, and Anguk.

Changgyeonggung Palace Introduction
When you pass through Honghwamun Gate of Changgyeonggung Palace first, you will be greeted by Myeongjeongmun Gate along with Okcheongyo Bridge.
–
After the spots above, you can see Myeongdongjeong!
I arrived in Myeongjeongjeon around 18:30, so the sky was too dark…🥲
(Next time I go again, I’ll take better pictures…)
–
A pastel-toned sky over red, yellow, and scarlet earth!
An autumn filter appears in the entire sky. (It’s natural because it’s fall!)
–
After passing Myeongjeongjeon and Punggidae, Chundangji is waiting for you.
I recommend that you actually go and see Chundangji. 👏
Photos can not capture the unique beauty of nature.
and…
When you pass the last Chundangji…
–
The highlight of Changgyeonggung Palace!
Deaonsil appears.
–
Daeonsil was the first Western botanical garden in Joseon, opened on November 1, 1909 (3rd year of King Yonghui’s reign), and was said to be the largest botanical garden in Asia at the time.
I highly recommend this spot for blind dates and meeting someone. If you come with your partner, you can hear the sound of hidden romance exploding! (Boom~! Boom~!)
–
Now the sky is covered dark again,
On the way back to Myeongjeongjeon…
–
Myeongjeongjeon seen at night
–
As you exit Honghwamun Gate, the old palace tour is finished.
